SS ROA
« on: July 13, 2020, 01:10:07 PM »
I got this gun on a different forum. It came with rubber Pachmyer grips, I made a set from my home grown walnut.

That one's purdy too.

I had a ROA once. Let it go. Probably shouldn't have, as they're way more expensive now. I paid $200 for mine.  ^j)

I like it. That is a fine looking Ruger Mazo. L@.

Sweet! Even though they aren't HC, I always admired the ROA.

Yeah, they have always been pricey. I haven't shot this one yet as I have another ROA that is an old warhorse; no finish on the frame, but the barrel is a very nice blue. They are Hell-for-stout guns!

They didn't start to be pricey until Ruger stopped production, IIRC

That is when the prices escalated, but even before that they were a bit more than other BP revolvers. The last auction I watched had a ROA that was well used and it brought the same money as my near-new SS ROA when I bought it.

No shame. When you have too many guns to shoot, that's a good problem to have!
