I used a hunk of 22 rifle barrel and made the rest of the parts, except for the rear sight.

I used a strip of light weight brass and formed it around the grip, then tacked it in place with small brass tacks.

Beats the heck out of the one I made when I was a kid. I made something similar to the one Newly improvised on an episode of Gunsmoke with just a heavy spring to fire it. Pull it back and let it go. It worked but accuracy was hit or miss. *6'

Yep, 22 caliber muzzleloader. I made it so I could use 22 pellets, just like the Pedersoli parlor pistol does. I should make the mainspring a bit stronger as I sometimes get misfires. I may try one of those plastic cap-gun caps and see if that will work. I forgot about those.

Love it! It has a nice look to it as well. I like the fact you can use .22 pellets!
