When Colt stopped production of their Mustang model, SIG purchased the rights to make the pistol. Evidently Colt started making them again after seeing how well SIG was doing with them. Mine is the HD model, all stainless steel in 380 caliber with trigger guard Crimson Trace laser.

Always wanted a Colt Mustang. I didn't know SIG made them. Very nice pistol.

Mine is not a Mustang; instead it's a .380 Gov't

That is way cool Capt.

A friend of mine has one of the Gov't models. But his is blued. They're very hard to come by from what I've been told.

Those are really nice, gents! I got rid of all my cartridge firearms after the divorce...not by choice, either.

I kept my guns but lost a nice 68 F100.  She asked her lawyer if anything happened to me could she get the guns. I think she had plans. (7+"
