A few knives
« on: July 11, 2021, 12:37:16 PM »
My first attempt at knife making many years ago. A patch knife made out of a circle saw blade.

I'm better at rehafting than knife making. I bought this old boot knife made in Germany off of ebay. It had a mummified baby boar foot handle and a broken point.

My first attempt at a poured pewter butt cap.

A reshaped Old Hickory butcher knife with a poured butt cap.

Those look good. I have pewter set aside for pouring stuff like that. If I can find a damaged pewter cup, etc. I will buy it (if reasonable) for that also. I find it hard to melt a good piece though.

Those look great Hawg. I really like the handle you put on in place of the old hog leg.
