Paterson question

I am looking at/watching a Paterson on an auction site. The pictures show the barrel markings like the originals.....Patent Arms Mfg. Co, etc.. the seller states there are no maker's marks to be seen in the gun. The pictures also show the trigger NOT retracted fully when the hammer is down. So, does anyone have a guess as to the maker? Also, is the trigger a problem? Thanks.

I remember reading that Colt did a small run of them. A deluxe and a standard if my memory serves me. I'd venture to say they were made by Uberti.

The trigger does not retract automatically,  it must be pushed up until it latches.  It could be the seller didn't store the trigger before taking photos.

Thanks guys for that info. I'm actually watching 2 guns, this one has an extra cylinder and 2 barrels....9"and 12". The other is a Pietta with a loading tool.

Dave, would this be considered a 2nd generation percussion Colt, serial numbered from the initial production run? The reason I ask is this one is number 4XX
