Gentlemen! (And ladies if there are any)

It's time to step up and help the good Capt keep the lights on around here!

I am going to put together a raffle, that we can all buy tickets for, to pay the rent for the board.

The prize is going to be VERY desirable! You're not going to want to miss this one.

I will sell tickets until we've reached our goal. This is a great way for everyone to help out, and get something in return.

Stay tuned later today, when I officially announce the contest and the prize.

Well I was hoping for a little more of a response to this, before I revealed the prize. But maybe I'll just do it now, and hopefully it drums up some interest.

This is going to be the prize for the raffle.




Yes, it's a parts gun. And yes, it's been modified. But its a GUN!

You actually have a chance to win a gun!

I haven't worked out the cost of a ticket yet, but rest assured, it won't be astronomical. And you'll be able to buy as many as you like.

I also haven't worked out where to send the money yet. We may just use either mine or Capt's PayPal so we can keep track of it easier.

Once all the tickets are sold, I'll have my daughter draw the name live on Youtube or something like that.

Capt and I will work out all the details.

So what do you guys think? Good prize? Worth buying a ticket?

I'm in !   Who wouldn't want a chance to win a Griswold & Gunnison hideout model with a half fluted cylinder?    Any river boat gambler would be proud to have that revolver tucked into his coat pocket.

Excellent guys. Glad you approve!

Doc, it's a Pietta brass frame that I got in a trade a few years ago. I've been getting parts here and there to put it together. I thought I wanted another snub nosed gun, so I cut it down and made a new blade style sight for it. The loading lever is actually functional too. You just have to put a cheater bar on it. It even stays put when shooting.

I fired it once, and it's been in the gun box ever since. So I thought I'd donate it to the cause and pass it along to someone else.
