Our beloved Emery Stluka
« on: October 06, 2021, 07:03:38 PM »
Hello friends.

It is with deepest sadness that i must report Emery Stluka (mazo kid) died suddenly on 9/24 of a cardiac arrest.  i was contacted by a member of his family tonight.

Thank you Emery for all of the late night message exchanges and kindness you have shown me here on Colt, and in our private emails. I will cherish the knife you gave me, and will always remember where it came from, your heart.  We will see each other again brother, and I know you will understand. I know you are with the father now.

Your friend Always.

Mark

Completely devastated. I'm numb. I really don't have any words.

Godspeed Em. You will definitely be sorely missed.

Shocked and stunned. I can't find the words to express my sorrow at this time.

I'm not embarrassed to shed tears for Em. He was a pillar of our fraternity. I never met him, but we had some vivid exchange via email. Then one day, out of the blue, the postman dropped a US package from Emery, with a note "here's an original mold to go with your Manhattan Navy" just like that! What a guy! He sent it from half across the US and across the Atlantic, to someone he never met. Until I join the Sunset Riders and sit down with Em, I'll keep him in fond memory. Until then R.I.P.

Em was definitely one of a kind. Like Len, I too shed a few tears.

I have a .54 mold he sent me for my 63 Sharps. I also have one of his custom made silver priming flasks that he made. I'll cherish them till I join him.

Nor am I. And I did. For real. And "pillar of our community" is the perfect description, Len. He was one of the Elders here.
It would be nice if all of us here could find time to send a card or note to Dorothy to let her know just how well loved Emery was here at Colt Country. Just sayin'.
