Gewehr 98??
« on: February 10, 2022, 10:45:35 AM »
My old buddy started getting items to build his Mauser 7.92 X 57 (8mm). He let me snap a few shots of what he has at the moment. Czech stock and barrel. He does not have the action parts at this point. He said WW1-WW2 time frame.

The stock looks to me like a Czech VZ 24. IMO it has too many holes to be an earlier stock. If so it wouldn't have been a WWI stock.

Thank you Hawg. I wasn't sure about what age any of the items were/are. I'm going off what I thought I remembered him saying.

I could be wrong I'm not exactly an expert on them. I just cut them up. (7+"

CUT THEM UP!!?? What?

Yeah that's right. The guy that cringes at the sight of a cut down Colt or Remington repro doesn't think twice about chopping up an original WWII battle rifle. Is that the pot calling the kettle black or whut? (7+" (7+" (7+"
