When we went shooting last week, I took the M1 Garand along. I bought this rifle for my Dad around 25 years ago for Xmas. He was in the Marines and fought in Korea. Every time my brothers and I talked about guns, he'd always get nostalgic about shooting his beloved M1 Garand, and how it was the greatest rifle ever made. At the time, I had an FFL. So my brothers and I decided to find him one and get it for him. The gun is technically his, but will come back into my possession once he's no longer with us. He's 90 now and doesn't really shoot anymore. It's been under the bed for 10 years or so, and I decided it needed a little exercise. We had fun putting some rounds downrange with it.
