That's exactly why you never go into the wild without a sidearm. After the first lunge, I would have dropped that cat like a sack of potatoes.

We have encounters with big cats out here all the time. And they just keep continuing to build more homes and businesses that encroach into the cats territory.

I must say that cat was intimidating. I wonder what I would have said under the same circumstances? I think I would have been praying in quiet desperation. Sheesh. Cougar?

that is a very scary video! how did he ever manage to keep filming during the encounter? after all he was in her domain & and she was protecting her cub, a good mother! jmho.
