original Starr barrel needed
« on: January 23, 2023, 03:59:56 PM »
I am not a machinist or gunmaker. Here is problem .I have a working well original S/A Starr 44cal using .457 balls. I need a barrel as original is cracked. Any help would be great. Somewhere there must be a good barrel maker out there????? I assume a normal machine shop cannot bore one as there is rifling involved. Does anyone know who can turn a proper barrel from original to copy? I know there are specific measures for lands and muzzle, and breech  so a proper one is needed. The gun function cocks and registers correctly works well just bad barrel. Thanks
