I have lots of Colt replicas and BP replicas of other guns.
What I DON'T have is an original, and with prices the way they are, probably never will.
But I LOVE to look at them.
If you are one of the few fortunate ORIGINAL Colt owners, this is your chance to show it off! With as many cameo shots as possible...

This thread ONLY applies to authentic Colts (no replicas), and does not include 2nd Gen or Signature Colts, lettered or not. If you got 'em, flaunt 'em!

The closest I've come is working on my friends original--1887--SAA. At this point I also doubt I'll ever own an original, but stranger things have happened--I hope!!

Here's a customer's '51 Navy made in 1863. It's the first one to get the Outlaw Mule service (coil conversion). I've tuned the flats on others but this one is the first to get holes drilled and tapped!!  Lol!  There's no cap post but there is ( of course) an action stop, action shield,  a bolt block, screws cleaned up and colored.  The arbor was correct but I did install the wedge bearing (set screw) in the end of the arbor for wear/ position  adjustment.  The barrel has been sleeved (it'll stay a cap gun).  The next stop will be a trip to Turnbull to get all purdy!!!!   (7+"


Oh, the action parts are original 1st gen items .  .  .  they have been massaged!!!

I've got a few pocket models.  They include, from top to bottom, a cased London Model, a 6 shot Hartford model with 6 inch barrel made in 1865, and a 1851 Navy made in 1852.
