Bought another Schofield
« on: March 04, 2023, 12:51:16 PM »

I couldn't resist it, it's a really nice copy of a Schofield revolver.  I was sucked in as soon as I picked it up.   It's heavy for an air gun and has a genuine feel to it.  The pellets or BBs are loaded into the fake cartridges and it loads and shoots like a regular break-top revolver.
I've been working on my arm strength since I injured my shoulder so I bought this to practice with and to harass the rabbits that are plaguing my back yard.    I picked up a pellet trap and have been shooting in my basement.

Nice....I've looked at those as well. Let me know how it works out for you. I have a Crosman 2240 that the wife and I use to plink in the back yard. Doesn't bother the neighbors and the pellet traps work really well. All the pellet remains go into the melting pot. Definitely a cheap way to keep that shooting arm in shape!

That looks like the real deal Mike. Is it metal? Or plastic?

It's all metal except the grips which are plastic.  I've never really wanted an air gun until I saw this one in person at the hardware store.   It feels as close to a real revolver as you can get with an air gun.    It's only a few ounces lighter than my Uberti Schofield.

Nice!  I have used air guns to keep my trigger finger busy during inclement weather but never thought they made them like that!

I have a Co2 1911 BB gun I use when I need a 1911 to make a holster. I never thought of actually shooting it. L@J

I've got an airsoft 1911 I used in town to chase away stray dogs. With the orange tip cut off and the factory grips off of my Rock Island it looks real. Yes the grips fit.

Mike, That's a nice looking air pistol for sure Mike. I've been looking at those since I will probably never fork out the cash for a real Schofield. I didn't know that you had a real one as well?!! Nice! So the weight is fairly close you say? Marshal, I used to have one of those Crossman 1911 looking bb/pellet shooter but lost is somewhere through the years. :icon_scratch: You been in my neck of the woods Marshal??  (7+"

I find it amazing how well these air guns can look like the real deal. That Schofield is just one example. I think it's pretty cool that the weight and balance is close, too. My 1911 is quite a bit lighter than a real one but then it was made a number of years ago. Maybe it came out of Zulch's garage. (7+"

Hi Mike, it's a fun pellet gun. I have a few photos of mine.
