Yep, no rain for the 4th day. The levee breaks are filled and the river is down considerably. All that's left there is to pave across the repaired sections. The main break upstream of Pajaro got opened up to about 400 feet and the one downstream was about 100 feet wide. That Levee needs some serious reconstruction but like the last time it broke, they'll talk about it and do nothing.

Traffic is all back to normal, now. This morning San Juan Road and Salinas Road, both through Pajaro are open again. I feel sorry for the people who live there because now the rebuilding starts for them. At least all the traffic routes are operational again.

Yeah, that's quite a way to irrigate a field.

Let's hope Mother Earth can get some healing from the last few years of drought and wildfire out of this.

All our reservoirs are full now so there is that. We have some very green hills, too. The view from our upper story is outstanding.

I get to see that every day from my desk. It really is nice. As a kid I was raised in the foothills of those mountains just a couple miles NW of here. I hiked all over them, mostly alone but occasionally with a friend. What a way to grow up.
