I don’t often use the term for firearms but those Rem pockets are definitely cute (“cute lil buggers”. ) Diminutive and look great.
One son has a steel frame like in the photo. Not much throw weight but extremely fun to shoot. A young lady friend of his in Oregon used it from a second story window to knock a persistent male red fox off her rabbit hutch. A descending flank shot from about 12 yards. Reynard did not get up. Those .31’s can be lethal and within their limits, very effective. They are a handsome little piece. Congrats on yours, Mike.
{My boys each have Pietta 5.5” Remingtons and the standard 1851’s, plus that one pocket. No 1860’s though. Not yet. Sometimes I think they may take after their mother more than I realize}.
