I haven’t posted here in a while.
I h ave two Marlins;  a 336 made in 1961 and a Remington  From 2014.

I. Recarved the.  Rem to a. More Marlin profile. I like it.

I. Put. A stain called “Gunstock by Verathane,,and  topped it with Biirchwood Casey.. it. Looks good too me. Feels good.  I  don’t know anyone who doctor up there. Factory rifles this  way.  This forum has good advise
 I know it’s a Remington/Marlin  but it shoot great and balances  well.

There's nothing wrong with the Remington Marlins. They had a rough patch when they first started making Marlins but they got that all sorted out.

Looks good, Rick! How are the internals on the Remlin? I heard some reports that the early ones were described as "rough" or "gritty".
