Stainless 1860 Army
« on: July 24, 2014, 04:57:13 PM »
I just aquired a beautiful Stainless Colt 1860 Army. I noticed the serial number on the wedge does not match the numbers on the rest of the revolver. It does not affect the function and it won't change my life. But I am curious to know if anyone out there with a stainless 1860 has an odd numbered wedge. I think it would be fun to try to track down the proper wedge for my revolver. 8)

I'm guessing you have a 2nd Gen?  All of mine have had matching numbers on all components.

Yes, my revolver is a second generation. I wonder what the odds are for locating the person who owns the "other" Colt with the wrong wedge. I have a Stainless Colt 1851 Navy also. It needed a companion, so I got the 1860 model. 8)
