Thanks for the info Will! That is a unique stamp. Hackbarth is on the top of the list for me.

Thanks for sharing the info on this! I was going to ask anyway. I've purchased some stamps from Bulgaria ...made by Sergey.... that have worked out really well too. https://www.etsy.com/shop/LeatherStampsTools

It's a challenge to find something truly unique.

Glad to hear you can get some use out of the links. I really like those two stamps. The originals were from 1880-1890. If you get the Bulgarian ones, I'll be interested in how they look. Are they from the same stamp maker as the ones you have?

It would be fun to get over to Elfrida to meet Lonnie. Maybe one of these days.

OK, I answered my own question. I went to the 'borders' section on that site you provided. Page 3 of that section lists those two palm-ish stamps I found on ebay. So the quality is what you hve already experienced. Thanks for that link, by the way. I've bookmarked it.

I have several stamps made by Sergey Neskrominy.   They are reasonably priced and good quality.   Be careful though,  they are made of brass and can be damaged by dropping on hard floors.

Well...I ordered the stamps from Sergey so I'll let you know in a month when they show up.

Elfrida isn't that far from me......I should go check it out myself!

Thanks for mentioning they may be made out of brass, Mike. That's good to know.

I look forward to hearing your impression of the stamps, Mick. Yeah, Elfreda is just a ridge line over for you, isn't it? Be sure to call him first. Lonnie says he goes to shows and can be away for the better part of a week at times. It would be fun to get a stamp from him and watch him make it.

Yes...almost all of his stamps are brass. I'm just careful when using them, but they are well made and they leave a perfect impression. The palm leaf ones are steel which will be nice.

It would be nice to meet him. I get over to Elfrida from time to time anyway, there's not much there, usually just passing through.
