Nah, I have an infection. Doc gave me antibiotics for it this morning. Also got called by my bosses boss, who asked me to do nights next week, to cover for someone who went out for quarantine (not at work. Got exposed to a relative during our days off.) That means the New York Strip roast is not going into work to be smoked.

I had an appointment for blood work at my clinic lab this morning. The procedure is to call in from the parking lot, answer all the usual questions and then they tell you when to enter the clinic. Just walk in directly to the lab, get blood drawn and out you go. Ten minutes tops. The hardest part is going without coffee or breakfast until after blood is drawn. I like the 9:00 AM spot, not too early, but after rush hour traffic.

Today? Took the day off work but didn't enjoy it. Evidently caught a cold. ^j)

Started the morning by making chicken, spinach and feta omelets to go with my pinon coffee.

Speaking of colds, one of my coworkers came down with the dreaded covid (as did his pregnant wife. They sent his work partner for testing, but didn't send her husband, who also works in our shop. Luckily, I had no contact recently with any of them.

You just can't be too careful these days. We are having snow right now with the heavy stuff coming later tonight and tomorrow. Might get up to 9" with high wind. NOT nice!

Dave, you are expected to get up to 2" of snow per hour during the heaviest snowfall, and a bit more than us. But you already know that!

I finally finnished shoveling out, the driveway(more like a ski jump) the back deck, and I also used the roof rake around the roof of the house, to help prevent ice damms on the roof.
Time for a beer.
We have more comming Friday according to the weather guys.

Dave, we got off lucky, 4" of snow. Now the wind has picked up and we are getting drifting. My wife shoveled the deck and sidewalk/steps to the garage (my cardiologist has informed me that my hands will never, ever be on any shovel handle again!). An ex-neighbor plows the driveway now; I haven't even moved the electric start snow blower from the shed to the garage this year! (jh

It's pretty darn cold here too. I had to switch to my winter footwear.
