At the speed things seem to happen around here, it'll be at least that. But if it takes less time, I'll have an excuse to make another trip when it's done. I like Tombstone a lot, anyway.

I did the same thing I've done for the last four days. Watched it rain.

I went out to cut grass today. There a place on the corner of the property out by the road that holds water and is boggy for the first half of summer. Well today I found out how soft this ground actually gets after four days of rain. There's a huge magnolia tree in that corner so I told myself to not go any further than halfway down the tree. well I got the mower stuck. I got my truck and 25 feet of chain. I got just close enough to hook the chain up. A zero turn doesn't have a neutral. This one has bolts in the wheel motors you have to turn so the wheels turn free but I figured I could just drag it out. WRONG!!!! I got my truck stuck. By the time I quit trying to work it out my truck was sunk up to the axle with a blown a radiator hose. My neighbor came over with his four wheeler and got the mower out but I had to get a guy down the road to bring his tractor to get the truck out. I think maybe I'll wait a few more days to cut the grass and hope it doesn't rain.

Can you say stuck? (7+"

I haven't done anything yet. I've got to go out and try to get the old 98 Silverado road ready. It has a lot of minor problems and with almost 261K on it it isn't what I'd call dependable but it's all I've got. It's just so hot outside and we have an excessive heat warning until 9:00 tonight.
