Yesterday I went through my Stainless Steel Uberti 1861 Navy getting it ready for a CAS match.  I had already smoothed the action and fixed the heavy hamer; but hadn't corrected the Hammer peening the nipples.  It had a nice deep round hole in the hammer face.  Filed the hammer face to stop the peening and put Treso cones on the cylinder.

Will probably do a little gun work on the SS Uberti Colt like yesterday, The hammer peening the nipples had already been fixed; but the hammer is still a little heavy.  After that I may do some work on an 1861 Whitney that has trigger problems and then get the cleaned .38 cases out of the cleaner & get them ready to load with BP.

I have not found a pistol that they didn't work great on.  I have two sets of competition pistols with Slix Shots, all my others use Tresos.

Slix Shots have not worked so well on a couple pair of Ubertis, so they got changed back to Tresos.

We were going to build the new raised bed and finish the flagstone patio this morning. It was bright and sunny when we got up. Now it's pouring down cats and dogs.

Are they fighting? Cats and dogs generally don't get along well.

Today I trimmed trees, rode my mountain bike and thought about Michelle Obama as Hillary’s running mate.

(The first thing was productive, the second fun and the third was neither.)

Hillary's running mate oughta be a cinder block and a stout chain shackled to her leg and she should go for a long walk on a short pier.

Saturday was the 4th and I worked a Farmers' Market in the morning.  When I got home, Herself and I made the fixings for a small picnic.  I set up the screen room in the back yard and we sat out and watched the birds in the garden and played with our dog.  Supper was bratwurst with potato salad and a couple of Edmund Fitzgerald Porters from Great Lakes Brewing.  Boring to some but we enjoy it.  Sunday was a bit more of the same.

Today, I need to take my vehicle in for service work.  The prognosis is not great so I may be looking for a new vehicle to haul me and my tools around for work.  This afternoon, a visit with her father and this evening the last of the picnic.

(I have two paper cutters to sharpen so I need to build that in somewhere.)

Just loaded up the dish washer with dirty dishes. Fed and watered the ZOO here.

Just mowed the front lawn. Getting ready to do the backyard.

Going to bake some painted lead bullets soon.
