Hi Reverend, welcome to the group!!

IMO the Pietta 1860 is the better value, lower cost than the Uberti. The Pietta also has an advantage where the revolver arbor is set to the correct length. Pietta replacement parts are lower cost than Uberti parts, especially extra cylinders. If you buy a Uberti you will need to modify the arbor to create a reproducible cylinder/barrel gap. Over the last few years Pietta has really gotten its act together where it is a superior mass manufactured revolver. Keep your eyes open on Cabelas for an 1860 Pietta for ~$200 with free shipping.

Just a quick update:

Took advantage of the Cabela's sale and scored a Pietra 1860 with a spare cylinder for $229!

As promised, I'll post pics tomorrow....
