I might buy one but it would have to be cheap, cheap, cheap and I would never ever buy one with a cap rake. *6'

Richard, I guess it would depend on what was done and who did it but to say "All" is a little  extream dontcha think?
Just look at the Manny CA  videos, I wouldn't touch anything that guy has touched!!  He has no idea what or why he does what he does. He does say to by lots of spare parts and after watching what he does, I can see why!!.

We aren't all " bubba's "

True but they're not as historically motivated as I am. I wouldn't want one if every other shot was a cap jam.

I wasn't putting down Goons work. I've heard too much praise for it to do that. It's just not for me.

Hi Mike, of course I wasn't referring to you or any other professional gunsmith. It's the hobbiest that feels the need to personalize their firearm and turn it to a problem child. Your improved BP revolvers would command a higher price and your work is a selling point. I would never turn my nose down on a Wilson improved 1911 and be happy to pay the premium cost to own one.

BTW, I have no doubt that adding the dovetail sight to my Uberti 1851 lowered the resale value of that revolver.

Regards,
Richard

Thank you Richard, and btw, I disagree again! I think your dovetail sight would add to your '51s value!! You do good stuff!

Personally, I like to see Richard's dovetailing (I know enough to recognize good work, but only have "Bubba's Tool-kit" to work with right now, thanks wife) right now (slowly rebuilding, emphasis on slow)!
