My RIA 1911 in .45 ACP will shoot rings around my 51 navy. It will even do it with Russian steel cased ammo.

Hi Hawg, the poorer accuracy of your 1851 because you use that evil PRYODEX in the 51!!  (7+" (7+" (7+"

Richard

Swiss 2F 20 yards give or take, one hand hold unsupported. Not great but not too shabby. Pyro might have done a tad better.  *6' *6' *6'

Hi Hawg, that's some fine one hand shooting, irrespective of the power used.

Having said that, I still hate PRYODEX!!

I did find some use for that crap Pryodex I had, it kills weeds.  (7+" (7+" (7+"

Richard

Thanks Richard. I like Pyro but then I've been using it since it came out. Yeah I prefer black but Pyro is as close as you can get to it. They just swapped the potassium nitrate with potassium perchlorate.

I been shooting the 51s the most lately, and they shoot fine groups fit good in hand and all steel frames. The 1911 is my side arm of choice, and has been since the late seventies. Hard to get pass one those. That's were my dad stood with handguns and passed it on to me. I was told buy a friend of my dads that sold firearms for a living that if I learn to shoot that gun I would be able to shoot anything in his gun case. First shot let me know what he was talken about. L@.

Possibly just due to length and lack of recoil, my colt bp's  natural point better.  I like a python.. But my Bp colts see quite accurate.
