Weather not conducive to spending time at the range.  I might try Wednesday's old coot shoot; but it all depends on the temp.

Winter is not the best season for shooting in the Pac NW with all of the rain.

It is the season for looking for gun deals and dreaming up new projects.

I have been spending evenings in bed re-reading the books I have and came upon a revelation (to me) that I had overlooked. Found out that the Confederate Augusta Machine Works produced pistols based upon the 1851 Navy .36 were produced primarily with 12 stop slot cylinders.

Within a few minutes I used my 12 slot stop plain cylinder on a Pietta 1851 Navy .36 repro and came up with a fair facsimile:

Merry Christmas!

I'm still kicking. Making bangs and smoke once a week. Sun, rain or snow.

Hi, there is snow covering my steel range, but I shoot .22 conversion in the basement until the weather outside improves. My .22 conversions:

Even shoot some .22 pellet guns in the basement when the desire to shoot becomes overwhelming:

very nice, I also do some shooting in the workshop with my back to the spray box evacuation fan. But I still think tht it is a commandment to shoot outside no matter what the weather is like.

I finally got around to JB Welding a spacer in the arbor hole of my Uberti 1851 Navy. Before I was just using a loose spacer in constant danger of being lost every time I disassembled the gun. I fired about 50 rounds with the new spacer and it's very accurate now with .380 roundballs.
