I had no idea I was hangin' wiff a buncha haters! ^j)

The Remington was, and is, a very innovative firearm with a number of design improvements over Sam's Children, but the Colt has it in spades over the Remmy when it comes to charm, charisma, feel, and overall good looks.
Nothing looks, feels, or handles like a gen-yew-wine Colt. And you can take that to the bank.

I don't hate any type of firearm but I have to agree with the Captain's words 100%

Comparing the feel and natural "pointability" of my original Colt Navy and my Uberti Remington the Colt wins hands down  L@.

Based on heft, grip, pointability and stone good looks I go an 1860.  It’s the most esthetic and best handling thing I ever shot.   The somewhat elongated grip really shines when used from a moving horse.  One gets just a little extra purchase on the handle when thumbing the hammer back. I think Colt had mounted shooters in mind with that design.  But, as is known here, it works real well when afoot too.

I loves em all but those 60’s are special.

I like all guns, just some better than others , so I will yield to your aversion to the use of some words.......
what the hell am I saying......... see what y'all did.
I dislike the 1858 Remington 8" revolver, is that a little ...softer ?
Please refer back to the third photo of this post, to my right sitting on the bench is a, dare I say it a .....
a 5 1/2 " Remington with a COLT 45 conversion cylinder installed.
I also, as well as liking Colts I like the Smith & Wessons.
So take a breath and have a  )l_ or  )l_ If I ever meet you I'm buying. :)

I hated a gun once. Damned if I can recall what it was, though.
