Me three.
I will admit to using a loading stand for the gun at times, but I do not own a loading press and probably won't. I shoot BP for fun and relaxation, not to see how much lead and powder I can burn through. I have cartridge revolvers for that.
One likes to get an historical feel for what it was really like back in the day, and reloading presses and Pyrodex pellets don't take me there. It's bad enough I have to shoot on a 'range' wearing modern clothing and driving there in a truck.
I watched a little oriental man shooting a big ol' Quigley Sharps BPCR rifle that was longer than he was, almost! He was shooting bench and I swear it took him 10-15 minutes to set up each shot, then he would stare WAY downrange with the spotting scope for a hell of a long time then scribble copious notes in his journal, followed by a furious swabbing of the bore. He probably fired less than a dozen shots all afternoon, but he was quite intent on what he was doing, and hang the rest of the world! And I admired him for that. In his mind he was probably picking off redskins on horseback at 1000 yards or a big buff at half a mile. That's the zone I get in too, sometimes. That's what shooting BP is all about, to me.
