At least one of you members must have an 1873 Colt model to share with us!  :'(

I've had two, a 7 1/2" and an Artillery, 5 1/2".  The Artillery is gone and I have no photos of the Cavalry Model.  I'll get some for you.
Knowledge carried to the grave unshared, is wasted.

no i was thinkin someone made an 1871 model that you had to remove the cylinder to load because it was like the 73 only had to be retro to c&b to meet some requirements, ill have to look that up and try to figger it out!

You talking about the C&B 1873 model that Pietta and Uberti came out with for the European market cause they couldn't have cartridge guns?  like this?

And, before someone says anything..............I DO NOT OWN ONE OF THESE !  wouldn't have one ..................... I got the pictures off of GB

1.  Gotta take cylinder out to charge
2.  Revolver capper won't work capping nipple with cylinder installed.
3.  Not even remotely historically accurate - at least the .44 cal Navy pattern pistols are based on a Navy.
4.  Did I mention ya gotta take the cylinder out to reload it?
