And I can see why her paper was selected, as well!

She worked very hard on it. And it's 100% from her own heart. No coaching by mom or dad.

Veronica,

Congratulations to you! When I look around and see so many young people who have talent, but choose not to use that gift they have, I sometimes shake my head in disgust. Young lady, you are not one of those people. As an old man who was raised to read and write very well, I take pride in knowing that there is still some hope that people, like yourself, will be the ones to turn this great country around. I believe that you may have a very promising career ahead of you as a speech writer for people who do not know how to put ideas into the written word. I wish you well in the contest!

Very kind regards,

Jim

Congrats to you and Veronica Dave.   Veronica gives me hope for the future.  Not only with her words about freedom but the fact that someone her age is capable of using the rules of grammar, punctuation, and proper use of the English language while writing about such an important subject.   This all reflects well back onto you and your wife and Veronica's teachers.

Congratulations to your daughter and you parents for raising an awesome young lady. So many young people don't know how to spell or how to use capital letters or use punctuation. There is hope after all!

Thanks guys. It's truly appreciated.

Thankfully, she gets her smarts from her Mom.  (7+"

Veronica will be 16 in July. She has been filling those little black composition books with stories, since she was old enough to write. She has always been very good at writing her own stories. On top of her writing skill, she's also very artistic. Her dream is to some day be an illustrator.

Hi Veronica, I have known your Dad only a short while. We have gone shooting a few times, as I'm sure he has told you.I have grown to really like this guy almost like a son. He talks of you and your family very
proudly,he tells me when you doing well in your school and always puts you first. I know he has a great love for his kids.
I have two daughters and a son that are adults know ,and have children that have grown up with support
as your Dad and Mom have given you. Cherish that. It is obvious you love your parents.
Congradulations on your achievements.
I hope to meet soon.
Your Dad's friend,
Chris
PS You get a lot of your smarts from from Dad as well as Mom.
