Newest addition-  Blackboxer 1862 Pocket Navy with oil grips.

I really like the 1849.  So,  I wanted it in .36.  I like the flat shapers over the creepers.   E x c e p t  !    For the 1851 Navy.  N o o o o ooooooo    desire, until now, whatsoever to have one.  Don t  know why, but it is my least favorite Colt.

I can't imagine why? It is one of the most appealing Colts...to me, anyway.
They point like a dream and the recoil is very mild.

I   r e a l l y   like the feel of the 61 Navy.  As you said about the 51.  Hmmm?  I am interested now , , a little.  I like the  Dragoon shaped pistols over the  creepers.

I have never handled a 51 Navy.  I would like to handle one to see if it jazzez me in another direction.  I like the idea of it being with all my other boxers (I call the faceted shaped ones this, and the others creepers.  For the their  'creeping'  levers).

Hmmm?

That fugg n  Picket from the Walker mold, Pedersoli   t o t a l l y   sucks!!!!   too small, hardly    a n y   rifling grip,  Getting the damn thing to go straight in the chamber,  is like ,-  zero to none.  It wobbles and flips to target.  Accuracy is nothing.

I d  like to get ahold of that  -sell the mold for    o v e r   a hundred dollars-   Pedersoli pukes and kick their asses!!!!

Got the 62 Navy in the mail.  Colt Blackboxer.  The grip is oiled only (I went after this feature) and is   b e a u t i f u l !   I really like it!!!  I thought it had the  Naval engagement engraving!  Nooooope!  This , ,  Navy,  has the stagecoach engraving.

Of all,  The best one that I have is the 1860 Army greyboxer.  B e a u t i f u l   finsih. fit and handling.  Action quick and crisp, grip in hand fit is swell!  I swear it is lighter than the 61 Navy! ,  The finish is a    d e e p   mirror ebony bluing. All corners and edges are fit and smooth.  It is the best firing, handling, finished one that I have , ,  in my Colt Gen collection.

Yeah.  I keep going back to it. It seems to have   b e t t e r   handling and balance than the Navies, while , with the  .44  8'' barrel, right on near Dragoon punch and range.  , and again,-  The one that I have is so beautifully finished, it is just fun to have, hold and and and.

Tried out my full shoot ensemble the other day for the first time-  5 pistols carried:  1- Left hip left draw socket holster, waistbelt held, shoulder strap supported Walker,  2- Right hip, right draw -same- Whitneyville Dragoon,   3- Front inside belt socket slip holster, right draw 1860 Army,   4- Left chest belt held, shoulder supported socket holster 1849 Pocket,  5- Small back outside belt socket holster right draw 1862 Pocket.  9.5'' Bowie in scabbard supported on left holster support strap. Belt bag on support strap.  Shot bag, shoulder strap carried.

I went out and walked and jogged a little, along a wooded trail. About a 1/4 mile.  All was supported in a way where I could flex and move. Even over logs, climbing, squatting and so on.  Surprisingly comfortable.

Just for fun.  It s  not like it is practical.  Just an idea of what it would be like to pack so much steel etc.  I cannot imagine being serious in the day without a percussion revolver in each hand, in order to back each other because of misfires, jams and so on.

Got photos of it.  I will try and post them soon.  Was going to do it several days ago,  yeah, yeah,  Thanksgiving this, delay that and so on.

'Watch it Abe! He s  probably got another pistol hidden somewhere!'   'Shut up Lige'.

That's why I don't post them as attachments. If you post the image code in the text box, max allowable is 640 X 427

*Post the entire image code from your website (IMG or IMAGE)
*Remove everything in front of the bracket-IMG-bracket and everything AFTER the bracket-backslash-IMG-bracket
*Image should appear in the text box.
Don't think you can attach a jpeg in such fashion, will probably have to use the attachment function.
Are you using an image hosting site or trying to load from a desktop or laptop file?

Well Scooby.  A  little admission here.  I fired it, yet not from a Walker.  I fired it from a  60 Army and Whitneyville-Hartford.

I checked- The picket fits under the Walker plunger perfectly.  The 60 army and the Dragoon, the plunger is contoured for a  blunt projo.  So, askew in it went.

I may be stupid, but I aint smart.
