Range Report 1851 Navy
« on: January 28, 2021, 03:07:08 PM »
I went to the desert this morning to try out my new 1851. 60 degrees, overcast, and windy this morning. The target was at 16 yards as measured by my range finder. 23 grains of Pyrodex, Cabella’s felt wad over the powder, and a .375 round lead ball. I used a rest on my portable shooting bench. This target was the first one shot.

Looks like it shoots just fine Lyle!

You said you went to the desert to shoot. Are you in California?

Well bummer. I thought if you were closer to me, I'd join you one day and shoot.

Lots of places to shoot in the desert SW. And I can just step out the door and shoot from my deck; ain't gonna happen anytime soon though!

I’m glad that I went shooting yesterday. Today is 51 degrees and rain.
