It does kinda look like that, doesn't it?

It's not really though. That gun had a pair of huge brass eagles on the grips when I got it. I removed them right away. But I didn't like the holes left by the brass tacks holding them on, so I just put the tacks back in the holes. I will eventually replace those grips if I can find a set. They are unfortunately unobtanium, so I may just have to make a set.

Colt Navy

NICE!!!  L@.
Thanks Z, I had forgot that take. It was great fun mounting a camera on a tripod, start the video mode and then shoot. Then pick out a sequence of frames. I did something like that with a flintlock pistol and one could see the ignition stages -- flash in the pan --outblow -- bp cloud -- flame thrower.

Thanks. I have original bayonets. The one on the ArmiSport is actually a Springfield bayonet somebody cut off at the locking ring. The original Enfield bayonet fits the ArmiSport better than it does the original Enfield.

I love it Sprat!! The 71/72 Open Top is my favorite cartridge gun. Followed by a converted 1860 for a close second. You have both in one gun basically. Looks great!!

You should give this gun it's own post over in the conversion forum. And give us all the details. It deserves it.
