back to the Colt's.  They fit my hand and are natural point shooters.
Yrs. ago, my cousin & I were in the mountains with my Colt. We filled 6 beer cans w/water & threw 'em across the river (hey, I was younger & not as responsible). He aimed & missed all 6; I pointed & hit all 6. Always been better at point than aim; but, (the point is that) the Colt sure made it easy. He looked at me like WTF! I said, "You just gotta let this gun do its thing". No brag, just fact. It does its thing really well.

I own over thirty Colt Cap and Ball revolvers, with one lonely Remington 1858... Of all of those firearms, the Colt 1851 Navy, feels the best in my hand...

The Colt count just changed, with the addition of a Cimarron Walker replica today...

I own 3 REM, and about 8 colts.. I much prefer colt open top, hammer and bead siting picture.

Looking at prices, the least spendy model at Cabelas is a brass colt style like an 1851 (ish).
