FIE .44 navy
« on: December 09, 2021, 08:06:47 PM »
I found listed on GB a FIE steel frame .44 navy.  Price listed as $250. It’s in my town  short drive away. So no mailing fee but may pay tax.  How does that sound.?

Rick, Is this it? $249.99? Dallas TX? It says it's a brass frame.

The photo appears to be steel?  When I get my hands on it I’ll know.

PR is one of those small manufacturers that went out of business in the 70's or early 80's.

I believe his reference to a brass frame is the grip frame. I've seen a lot of people refer to it that way.

Be careful with these guns from long out of business companies like PR and FIE. If something breaks, you may never be able to get a replacement part.

True, FIE was an importer of cheap guns. Parts will be unobtanium. I have a PR .36 Remington and the internal parts are nothing like Pietta.
