Is there any reason to have a preference for a Pietti over an Uberti? I also want a classic action so, I would prefer to avoid the transfer bars and modified hammer solutions. I'm really thinking "classic" not, modified classic.
Nice Hawg👍👍
Sidpost - So, I talked with the gentleman in question regarding his 1873. No dice. He wants to hold it awhile longer. No worries though. If enough of us are looking, I'm sure you'll get a line on one.
The hammer block like yours Hawg doesn't bother me. My 72 Open Top has that too.
That was very nice of you to inquire Woodsrunner!! Good folks around here.

I believe they have more models available too. I am like you, I don't care for the moderen transfer bar on a SAA.
The Pietta guns are closer to Colt's dimensions. A bit lighter and better balanced for me. Uberti slightly over builds their guns for safety liability reasons.
