Pietta has a comprehensive on-line catalogue - if you’re interested in that sort of thing.

Some of Pietta's offerings are truer to the originals than Uberti's but they still have that godawful billboard on the barrel.

I have an 1861 Pietta and the grip seems a little too large. Overhang lip all the way around. :icon_scratch: :icon_scratch:

Can you post a pic? Or is yours too big too? (7+" Pietta is known for big fat, obese grips but their wood to metal fit is usually pretty good except for a lot of proud wood where the wood meets the actual frame.

What year is that 61?  The grip looks right for late model Pietta Navy versions.  My Pietta 61 from Cabelas in 1997 has the flared bell shape grip.  I think the newer version is an improvement in looks and feel.

Pic isn't clear enough to see overhang.

The new style grip does feel better but the flare on the old backstrap was pretty much like some of the originals. The only thing is the originals didn't have the flare on the front strap. That's what irked me the most.

I purchased it new from Jedediah Starr in June of 2021. Don't have the gun handy at the moment to check the date stamp. I'm guessing 2020.
