While cleaning my ASM brasser .36 'Schneider & Glassick' the other day, I happened to notice an unusual thing...if you look at the barrel stamping, it says "
BLACK POWDER ONLY CAL .36 MADE IN ITALY"
However, if you angle the light in the lettering, it's visible that the ".36" stamping has been stamped
OVER the numbers ".44" .
Does this make this particular gun any more valuable than your run-of-the-mill brasser or S&G replica, like a coin that has been double-stamped? Or just a reminder that Guido was having a bad day at the factory?
