I found a photo of one I made with the original style buckle. The original style looks nicer but the roller buckle is easier to use. The original buckle drags on the leather when you cinch it.

That's not the original belt but it's the original style buckle. I agree it looks better than the roller buckle. The original belt was black and didn't have the edge bead on it. Also, there were only three rivets on the original. Two right behind the buckle and only one on the other side of the belt loop to keep the backing piece and the belt loop in place. Those are speedy rivets on this one where the originals were flared tubular rivets.

I ran across that belt the other day and it was one hole short of being long enough so I stretched the belt about 1-1/2" and it fits great now. That was easier than loosing weight.

Maybe so, but I can't loose an inch and a half overnight no matter how little I eat. Stretch a belt, boom! Done!
