Richard the front sight is 4mm high as can bee seen in the photo below. I used 15 gr of FFF, fine coffee grounds as filler and .380 ball with over the ball lube.

Hi Kerry, thanks for the photo and information. The only Uberti 1851 that I have with a stock front sight is an engraved model. That front sight measures 2.8mm. If memory serves me, that is also the height of a newer Uberti 1851 where I added a dovetail sight.

This seems proof that the London Navy is sight regulated to shoot lower than the other Uberti 1851 models. I have understood that most all sights of the BP revolvers of the mid 1800s were regulated to have poi=poa @75yds. That's how my Pietta 1851 sights are regulated and why I added a dovetail sight to one of them, see:
