Doc, as long as you enjoy it that's all that matters. Don't let old curmudgeons like me spoil your fun. :old_man:

You're not a curmudgeon Hawg, you're a purist. Nothing wrong with that either!

Went to the Wyatt Earp show, pics later. Demo'd some unused romex out of the kitchen. Also started stacking a pile of wood.

Winter heat.

Hawg .....I certainly did enjoy it today. It was fun and performed superbly. Not one stoppage of any kind.
And I understand you and appreciate your insights and advice.
I know you are a good guy and sometimes perhaps your enthusiasm may seem overwhelming.
But you never mean to do anything other than help and make sure we know where you stand on any particular issue.
I also am happy to know you. :shake2:

Today I shot my  REB 44.
Now I know many of you don't like it because it's not historically correct.
But that does not affect how it shoots and how I enjoy shooting it.
It shot flawlessly and accurately.
It's a good day

Purist? Nah. I have several myself. If you enjoy shooting it, who cares what anyone else thinks?
Glad you got to make smoke, Doc!

And today, in my backyard range, I shot my 1860 Army.
No issues. No stoppages.
Not as accurate as usual. But that was me.....today I was off.

But still a fun time.

Today I shot my Uberti 1851 Navy. Fun session.
And although I shoot mouse fart loads as Hawg would say, I am finding I like shooting .44  caliber better than .36 caliber.

It's BOOM vs. pop. I totally get it.

Same reason you like shooting a .45 over a .22
