More Bad News

There is already a petition out asking Hodgon to reconsider.

Saw that. Not likely it will even make a ripple in the pond unless they get over 10k signatures. And even then, it's very likely the decision was made based on profits and tightening insurance regulations. After the June fire/explosion, the plant may not even be insurable any more or may have been dropped like a hot potato. Here's a link to the petition, if anyone wants to voice their opinion:

I saw some Pyrodexr fffg at the store I went to at lunch time. I noticed the triple seven I bought is a Hodgdon product as well. Doc says that we will still be able to get that. What's the skinny on all this? BP substitutes on the chopping block too?

    So do you need a different percussion cap to use Triple Seven than the standard #10 or #11?

I may be wrong but I thought all the bp and subs were made in Minden LA. I'm hoping they don't do away with Pyrodex. It's my go to powder when I don't have Swiss. At the rate I've been burning bp tho my 8 or 9 pounds of Swiss and Pyrodex will last longer than I do.
