It appears the stay home orders are extended through the end of April. We will come through it but I worry about other Mom & Pop shops. A lot of good folks are going to lose their livelihoods.

Shop local if you can. M&app need your business more than the Walden’s or other big box owners.

Well I spent a couple hours trying to buy a1860 Army Sheriff, from Cabelas. When I went to check out, It would not let me have it shipped to my home. Said I had to pick it up at a Cabelas store. I have recently (January) bought 2 C & B revolvers from them. Check out kept saying they would only let me pick it up at a Cabelas, near me. What Gives, ????. Wisconsin is not one of the can't ship to States, or ship to FFL only, for black powder revolvers.

Anyone else run into this lately at Cabelas trying to buy on line, and ship to home,????

Dave, I have never had this happen to me (I am also in Wisconsin). It may have to do with the Bass Pro takeover. Can you talk to someone on-line to straighten this out? Otherwise it would mean a trip over to the Prairie du Chien Cabella store.

Its really wierd, cause I just bought 2 Pietta Colts in Jan of 2020, and they shipped them to my home. Can't figure out, what gives.
I havnt heard of any gun law changes, since January in Wisconsin, unless the new Governor did something.

Decided to replace the two outlets by our bed, since I've had the new outlets kicking around for awhile. Here is one of the outlets I replaced.I had to cut the wire back about 3" to find good insulation

Oooooh, not good! Retired electrician myself. Loose connection at outlet or heavy load/improper fuse/breaker? Maybe from using an electric heater coupled with any of those other things. Fires have been known to happen from things like that and then the cause is listed as electrical malfunction.

Nope the Governor wouldn't have anything to do with that. That falls under the BATFE purview. Hope you get it straightened out. Probably some new shipping clerk that doesn't understand the law.

Whatever caused it, and I'm guessing resistive heating from the poor condition of the outlet, it happened a while back, before we owned the house. None of the damage was recent. My guess is the outlet, which doesn't match any of the others, was salvaged from somewhere to put in the bedroom. We already know the original owner/builder did some sketchy stuff.

The house is 30 or so years old.I suspect the outlet wasn't new when it was put in, just from looking at it.
