Great tributes gentlemen, specially yours Capt.

I popped one cap out on the patio in my Goonerized Army, and had a shot in one of the glasses Jim gave me.

RIP men. We'll see you on the other side.

No pictures. I snapped several caps today. Tonight is the time for the Bourbon.

Thanks to all who honored our fallen members, each in their individual ways.

OK guys, here we go again !
21st of Sept is just around the corner.
Time to prepare for our homage to absent friends.
Make sure you got caps (BP and RBs, if possible in your area) and your prefered beverage for toasting. Caps are mandatory. Photos are appreciated.
Lets do it properly!

Given enough time, everyone catches their packet.  It’s the only thing in life that comes with a double your money back guarantee.

I’m in for the Twenty-First and will launch six of the remaining eight pounds of  45-190S (Accurate Molds) that I bought from DD4 way back when.

“Then out spake brave Horatius, the captain of the Gate:
To every man upon this earth death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better than facing fearful odds,
for the ashes of his fathers and the temples of his Gods.”

Good on ya, G! A fine tribute to Steve, there! If they have telescopes up yonder, I know he'll be watching.

I've got me some of them. I'll load the Sheriff. Hell, I may even try to get Smokey's '58 put back together for the tribute and use it.

Not being home today, I'm not able to snap a cap, but my good friend Jim "Sourdough" is in my thoughts.

Duty accomplished.
Nice early fall day. Sun and a wind that kept the mosquitos away.
Made some considerable smoke signals to absent friends with bangs and fragrant smell. Felt good.

This evening's tribute will be threefold. I will be using the Whitneyville I got from Jim to pop a cap. I will also be having a shot of whiskey in the "Attitude Adjuster" shot glass that Jim gave me, and I'll be pouring the whiskey from my Grandfather's flask. I will then use the powder dribbler that Em made me to put a little powder in my ash tray and touch it off. Thus I will honor Jim, Em, and my grandfather at the same time.

In memory and honor of those that have passed before us, especially DD4lifeusmc (Steve) who I had contact with on numerous occasions and have several black powder items I purchased from him, I'm going to light off some FFFFg powder in the pan my new English Heavy Dragoon pistol. I can't load and fire it in my backyard so a flash in the pan will have to do.
My biggest concern is that when I pass away, my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them.

Launched some 190 grain conical and .454’s in commemoration of our pals who have passed over into Glory Land (AKA Valhalla). Later tonight I’ll toss a double Bushmill’s in honor of them and all of you guys, too.  Saludo!

Thanks to all of you for your tributes to our fallen comrades! :usa-flag-89:

Tonight could have been better; it's been overcast, cool and drizzly all day. But damn the torpedoes. I've really been missing our departed friends, but especially my good friend Emery. So, with that in mind, I decided to do a special tribute in his honor tonight.
What would Em choose, I wondered? Then it struck me. Not only was he a revolver guy, he was also a muzzleloader guy. What better to honor him than a muzzleloader?
So, I chose my Lyman .50 cal Plains Pistol, and a snort of Jameson's...

After a silent toast to all our past friends, I took a slug of the Liquid Courage and rambled out to the back yard with the Plains, capped with an ancient Remington #11 from Lord knows how long ago, hoisted it skyward, and with a "Godspeed, men!"...CRACK!
Anyone who tells you a cap isn't loud in the night sky is full of it, or has never tried it. Or both.
That done, I headed back indoors and took this pic...the Plains alongside the marvelous Sharps Emery sold me at a bargain basement price...

...and then finished off the Liquid Courage.
All that was left was an empty glass, and this:

...which ended up in the Arlington of BP, representing each year we've snapped a cap:

On occasion, Mrs. Captain will ask what those funny bits of metal are for, and I will say, "For friends". Not sure she understands, but she leaves them alone.
Godspeed, my friends. Godspeed.

I used my 51 navy and fired an extra one for my wife. The navy is the only bp gun my wife got to shoot and she liked it.
