Yep, now I need to see if I have some 38 S&W ammo loaded. I think I do! Oh, and that conversion was called the Legal Defender.

Yeah, well that isn't how you are supposed to do a collection!  But I just got guns as they were available and I could afford them. Instead of a specialized collection, mine is very eclectic, a bit of everything.

Oh, and as far as an older son.....maybe. But my wife told me 30 years ago she wasn't interested in starting a second family.

I did find a box of 38 S&W cartridges I had loaded with black powder a couple of years ago.

I see by the box label that it has been more than a couple of years since I loaded these!

Oh, that's nothin; I found a box of 7mm I loaded in '04 the other day. Wonder if I knew what I was doing back then?  ???

And....a Ruger Old Army! This old war horse has seem a bit of use. It has the aluminum grip frame.

This is just as I bought it many years ago. I have always wondered if the previous owner had replaced the barrel as it sure doesn't match the frame!

I have no idea why I never posted my conversions in this thread? I plead the fifth...or insanity, which ever applies.

In fact, I like the Sheriff conversion so much I've decided to leave it as converted.

I am loading my own BPCR with 250gr lead bullets in front of 35gr 3F powder.
