It's a Pietta extra deluxe model and I don't think it was ever available in the states.

1851 Navy. Looks, handling, saves on powder and lead and I like the fact that it covers a broad historical time period.

The 1861 model is it.  That revolver is more a work of art than a firearm.

I'll go with that.  But I like the Army '60 best, maybe cause it has those recurve lines and it's a forty-four.

It may be that one has to do some shooting from horseback to really appreciate the grips on the 1860.  They handle well on the ground too but, for me, nothing beats them for mounted shooting.

I don’t remember when I first became conscious of C&B but when I saw one like this Nichols in the toy store I like to fell down.  I was about six.  I had to have that cause it was ‘one of those’.  Not as fancy as Major’s Hubbley but I recommend Nichols to all the little kids I know.

My favorite is the 1851 Navy... The 1851 Navy design elements affected every Colt pistol designed after it.

And don't forget the Octagonal barrel...
