Spent the last two nights in Nashville. Head off to Florida tomorrow.
Must have found the right spots to hang out.
Hardly have a voice from singing along at 4,000,001 decibels with every number last nights band did for their full 6 (?) hour set.
Good times had by all.
Grabbed the camera tonight, it’s an anitique. Be interesting to see if any of these turn out.

Sounds like you had a nice time. By the way, antique film camera. What are you using? Large format, 35mm or? I still shoot 35mm on rare occasion. Fun times.

My wife has never seen Lake Tahoe, so we did a road trip up the 395 through Bishop and crossed over to Lake Tahoe. Spending a few nights in a little cabin, and touring the lake. The water is too rough for renting a boat, and the locals are already expecting some early snow. Interesting place with contrasting lifestyles: casinos and condos vs cabins.
It is a huuuge lake!
 Retired fun!

Never seen Lake Tahoe either, OF...but looks like a woodsman's paradise! Thanks for sharing the photos!

Great pics Frenchy!

It's been a while since I was at Lake Tahoe. I was best man at my brother in law's wedding, and they got married at The Ponderosa. Fun trip.

Looks like maybe the Nevada side of Tahoe?? Been there once, a long time ago and it seemed the Nevada side was much more picturesque than the Cali side?

I would agree with you Zulch. The Nevada side is less developed as it has the State Park on the  north. Then you have South Lake Tahoe which looks like a mini Las Vegas.
I have been reading Mark Twain's 'Roughing It' afyer many decades.. He devotes some time to his exploration of Lake Tahoe with a friend in the 1860s. It was a remote curiosity at the time. They camped around it for weeks, and explored it with a row boat when it was a completely undeveloped wilderness. Mark Twain also describes how he inadvertantly started a forest fire that forced them onto the lake in their boat while it raged and finally burned  over the mountain and out of sight. He wouldn't recognize the place today, lol.

Thanks for mentioning that book. I would love to read it. I will hunt that one up. I'll bet Twain tells that story well. Brings to mind another author, Thoreau. I read Walden and thoroughly enjoyed it. The wife and I went to the cabin site back in the mid 90's. Remnants still there. Funny thing, all the pale skinned young folk trying to catch rays on a small hillside overlooking the pond. HAHAHAHAHA..It was a site as compared to a true beach if you will. Good times.

We got back from Northern Indiana about 1:30 AM. About 30 miles or so from Michigan. That was harrowing ride. :animated-smileys-brutal-viole Wifey wants us to move there. :thinking-026:

She's from there. We went up to visit some of her family.

We probably will. I don't want to but a lot of stuff she says makes sense. We would have it easier up there but I'm a southern boy. I'd never leave the house in winter.

Have to go pick up me truck in a while. And there's a town meeting with our county supervisor in a while. Want to ask some questions.
