My youngest son bought me a Uberti Remington navy last Christmas. It's an ungainly uncomfortable hunk of metal, but shoots well. It took him about three months to get around to the subject, but he began to bring up my Argentine Mauser carbine in "casual" conversation. Then he borrowed it to "look at" and showed an abnormal interest in the contents of a dusty ammo box I keep in the cellar. Inch by inch he wormed the Mauser away from me until I gave it to him officially in June, and began to drop hints myself about the new grip pattern Pietta was supposedly using on it's 51's, and how I really oughta get off my butt some day and buy one.
